Autograph est un procédé d'estampe numérique développé en hackant un plotter. Il permet de faire tracer par une machine un fichier de dessin vectoriel, en y fixant un feutre ou un stylo.
Les logiciels de dessins vectoriels sont utilisés par les graphistes pour concevoir des logos ou des illustrations destinées a être largement diffusés via les écrans et par l’édition.
L’idée est ici de redonner un caractère unique et une matérialité physique à ces images conçues dans des esthétiques vectorielles.
A l’instar de la gravure, les tirages comportent des différences et le fichier est détruit après un nombre prédéfini d’exemplaires : il ne reste finalement que la trace du frottement de la mine sur le papier.
Ce travail à été montré lors de l'expostion BITM4P P4L4CE en décembre 2017 à BATT COOP, à Paris.

Autograph is a printing process that hacks a cutting plotter. It allows to use a machine to draw a vector design on paper, using a pen or a pencil.
The vector design programs are usually used by graphic designers to make logos or illustrations intended to be widely broadcast through screens and prints.
The idea is to bring back a “unique” feeling and a concrete materiality to images created with these vector aesthetics.
As with engraving, the prints feature small irregularities, and
after a certain number of prints, the file is destroyed : the only thing left is the aftermath of the pen lead scrubbing the paper.
This work had been shown at the BITM4P P4L4CE show, host by BATT COOP in 2017 in Paris.
